Yuxuan Zhou is looking for and establishing a pictorial language to communicate with the world through her attempts in illustrations, crafts, zines, writings and garment making. She is interested in narrative elements of fashion and bravely explores colours, mediums and materials in her work.

Dissertation - The journey of the disabled hero and representation of disabled body in Japanese Manga, 2020
This dissertation looks at the current trendy Japanese Manga culture and the phenomenon manga Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, investigates the image of a disabled hero and his journey using a semiotics approach, providing a new perspective to look at the portrayal of a distant disabled body and investigating manga as a language which hybrids texts and images.

An underground podcast station held with a Design Engineering student Tianxiao from Imperial College, inviting people from various design field to share their project, providing a platform to share design ideas and bridge people in the pandemic. Covers a wide range of topics such as death cafe, dress code and identity, body and tattoo.
